BOPP Adhesive Tape Jumbo Rolls for Tape Converters
For buyers who slit, rewind or convert adhesive tape locally. The page focuses on the specification inputs that determine whether a jumbo roll is suitable for a converting program.
Start with the construction, not the product name
A request for “BOPP jumbo roll” is incomplete until the converter defines the dimensions, thickness, color, adhesive and downstream converting needs.
| Specification | V1 reference | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Width | 1280 mm typical | Confirm master width, coated width and usable width before quotation. |
| Length | 4000 m typical | Other lengths require specification and qualified supply review. |
| Total thickness | 40 / 45 / 50 µm core reference | Performance depends on film, adhesive coat and application — not thickness alone. |
| Colors | Clear / Yellowish / Tan / Brown | Printed or other colors are reviewed as project-specific options. |
| Adhesive | Water-based acrylic is the primary reviewed system | Other systems are not presented as standard availability. |
40 vs 45 vs 50 µm
Thickness is a construction input, not a performance guarantee. BOPP film, adhesive coat, adhesion, tensile, holding behavior and application conditions all matter.
- 40 µm: often considered for lighter or more cost-sensitive conversion programs.
- 45 µm: a strong cross-market reference point in the reviewed buyer records.
- 50 µm: commonly considered when buyers want a heavier total construction.
1280 mm is not always 1280 mm usable
A converter should distinguish master roll width, coated width, usable width and edge trim. The RFQ should also describe the slitting plan if yield matters.
- Master width
- Coated / usable width
- Edge trim allowance
- Target slit widths and roll count
Color, printing and converting requirements
Options are reviewed against the specific project rather than advertised as unlimited customization.
Clear / Yellowish / Tan / Brown
Core reference families for converter enquiries. Other colors remain project-specific.
Printed jumbo roll
Artwork, print colors, repeat, tape color, quantity and converting method all require confirmation.
Slitting & rewinding fit
Tell us the slit width, target finished length and machine constraints when they affect roll construction.
Information a converter should submit
Providing these inputs makes supplier matching more useful and reduces back-and-forth.
Common converter questions
Is 1280 mm always the coated width?
No. Master width, coated width and usable width should be confirmed separately for the specific construction.
Does a thicker roll automatically mean stronger tape?
No. Total thickness is only one input. Film grade, adhesive coat, adhesion, tensile and application conditions also affect the result.
Can printed jumbo rolls be reviewed?
Yes, as a project-specific option. Artwork, colors, repeat, quantity and qualified production capability must be confirmed first.
Are 42, 43, 48, 52 or 55 µm always available?
They are treated as commonly requested or reviewed options, not as guaranteed standing inventory.
Send a jumbo-roll specification
Include thickness, width, length, color, adhesive, printing, quantity and destination so the request can be reviewed against candidate supply capability.
